Endure Suffering

A person unwilling to endure suffering will be bound to the will of their flesh 'til death.

We endure suffering in training because we know what it produces. Speed, strength, endurance.

We flee from suffering in life when we forget what it produces. Endurance, character, hope.

"Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us." Romans 5:3-5

Paul emphasizes the theme of endurance because of the suffering that all believers will face. 

The beautiful paradox of Christ is this: Where there is suffering, there is hope.

Running this race 'til I hear "well done good and faithful servant"
